Alright So It's Been Over a Year!

Just getting back into twitter and blogging again.

Just a quick update on what has held my attention recently.

Ebooks on the iPhone.

Many people say they can't imagine reading a whole book on the iPhone's small screen. My bet is that they probably could. Many people who have iPhones try it out and say they couldn't do it. My bet is that they tried it with the first free book they could put on it and gave up on it.

Stanza is very customizable and you are bound to be able to make the text as readable as anything out there. You can change the text size, color, and font. You can choose the background color to contrast the text as you need. You can invert colors on the fly and even change the back light by simply dragging up and down your finger tip on the screen while you are reading a page.

The Key is a Great Book

They key is to find a book that is really a page turner for you. If you can't read for an extended period it's because the book is not appealing to you. Once you find a good book for you, you will know it. You will be sucked in, forgetting what you are reading it on.

How to Find a Book

Stanza comes with several online sources to get books. Some are free directories of free books. I found Free Books by Feedbooks to be a good source, but still it does depend on your taste.

It's not the iPhone or any other electronic device, its the book itself.

If you'd tried it in the past with no success try it again. Try it this time by finding a good book to read. One which makes you forget you are reading at all. Then you'll have found just how easy it is to read a book on the iPhone or any other device.
